Path Entanglement is a mixed media, texture painting series exploring the concept “paths” as conceived by me through my thoughts on the Australian aboriginal philosophy of Songlines, my thoughts on the physics concept of path entanglement, and my thoughts on people, life and the world. These paintings physically convey these thoughts.

In these paintings, when the paths are viewed as a group, a message, much larger than an individual path’s, is created. The concept that I imbue in the paintings is that each individual life is a path and that although, two paths can never be the same path, never actually touch, and never exist in the same space, they can appear to combined, appear to touch, appear to exist in the same space. Also, that no matter the distance and no matter the separation, the paths are connected through universal message that they create. This connection makes up the pattern of their world, while individually, each path retells itself and it’s singular message.

It is my intention that these paintings can be experienced not only by people with good vision but also by people with who have difficulty seeing or people who are blind. I created these paints to be experienced by the eyes and/or by the hands of the person experiencing them. These paintings are meant to be touched.
